This place is great, my family and I come here regularly for lunch and breakfast. On sunday, we took my father here for father's day, and our whole family was impressed with the food and the value (they joined us from out of town). We all had a great time, and were well taken care of even though the place was really busy. It's the ONLY place to go for good breakfast and lunch in town, and more people should support local and independent restaurant owners- Woodstock has too many restaurant chains. Read more

I have been using their take out/delivery service for over 10 years and I have never once had a complaint. I called once not realizing they weren't open yet and when they got in they saw my phone number on their call display and called me back to ask if I'd like to place an order - who else would take that time??!! I have been going to this eatery for 5 yrs now. It was really good at first when it was called The Bamboo then it was sold and it was just not the same. Now, it was sold again when it became Five Star Chinese Buffet. Now, it is better, pretty much like it was a few yrs ago plus they have the extra food items at the back on week nights that they only use to have on the weekends. It's a good place to eat. We were happily surprised to see a full chalk board of specials. We are always excited about the specials because the chef there is so talented. They were quite busy but the service was exceptional as usual. This is at least the eleventh time or so we have been there. Breakfast is also really great. My husband is a big eater and he is always satisfied with his meal. The prices are fair, the food is amazing, and the people that work there are great. I have an allergy to gluten and it is so nIce to be able to enjoy a full corse meal at at fair price when we come to this place. I wish the chef could ,prepare food for me at home all the time. Also, the people that work there are super knowledgable about the food they serve. This place is fabulous and everyone should give it a go. Oh and great wine too! Read more

I am a semi-regular at this location, and also go to the other locations in Waterloo and Cambridge now and then. The service is pretty snarly, but a bit more attentive than at the other locations. The food is always good. I love their Malaysian Seafood Laksa Noodle Soup, and their pho, as well as their pork balls. Just don't go during the busy dinner hours. Read more

I have visited this sushi restaurant many times since it has opened and I bring new people with me to share the experience. The food is fantastic, fresh and tasty. My favorites is the seaweed salad and the mango rolls although there are many dishes I like. The prices are very good for all you can eat or order meals off the menu. It is not a buffet but you order dishes until you are full. But remember that if you can't eat it you can take it home for the price of the dish. Which is fair. I visit this location on a regular basis since I live in the area! First time I visited this location, one of the bartenders asked my name, and remembered it the next time i visited! All of the wait staff are super friendly, and funny! This location has a lot of daily features and drink specials which me and my friends enjoy...Food has always been good, and if there is anything ever wrong or not up to my satisfaction the management and staff make sure it is dealt with so I leave satisfied. I don’t eat out a lot cause I feel like I can do just as good a job at home cooking, but this night we felt lazy so off to dinner we went. We picked a great place. Food was great, in fact my son enjoyed his burger more than the ones at home. Service was very friendly and helpful as my wife wanted something light and couldn’t make up her mind, the server took her time with us and helped make decisions. She recommended the fajitas to my Daughter, and wow what a hit. After reading a couple of the negative reviews, I don’t know what these people are talking about, cause our meal was perfect. And clearly one of the reviewers doesn't know what he's talking about, cause in Ontario, you can serve alcohol at 18, and drink at 19, so I guess that sums up his review and how factual it can be.
