When it comes to fine dining, Lord Nelsons definitely does not disappoint. With delicious food and quality service, I would have to say this is one of the classiest restaurants in the Hamilton area. The first thing you notice when you walk in is the warming and peaceful atmosphere. There are only a handful of tables and a bar in the whole restaurant and it makes for a almost private and intimate dinner experience. This is not a jeans and t-shirt type of place, everyone inside is dressed professional and fancy. I would recommend a dress and heels for the women and dress pants and button down shirt for the men. And obviously from my previous statements this is not really what I would call a family restaurant. With the close tables and quiet music I would think children would feel out of place at an establishment like this. Nonetheless I feel like it is a great date night place, very romantic and relaxing. The menu I would say is perfect for the restaurant. It includes a variety of different meal choices but doesn't overwhelm the customer. We had chosen the Peppercorn steak and the Filet mignon for our main courses. I would say that they were better then what I expected, cooked and seasoned perfectly, I would definitely recommend there food to anyone. The main courses range anywhere from $20 - $60 which is a little higher then your average dinner but in the end I think it is worth the little extra price for the quality. The only concern I had about going here was their location. It was a little difficult to find as it is located in a small plaza tucked away beside a laundromat. Also the exterior of the restaurant is not what you would expect for a high class place like this, and I didn't find it all that appealing. The front doors are very Castle like and there are no windows at all. At first glance I thought it was closed. But if you can get past that It was great experience and I would recommend it to anyone. Great restaurant with a friendly staff. The food tasted fresh and was arranged on the plate with an appetizing style. Arguably the best chicken on a pita I've ever had. The pita was thin and pliable instead of overly thick. I liked how the chicken and other toppings were spilling forth from the pita like a cornucopia. The pineapple slices and the different spices went surprisingly well together. Clean interior with plenty of parking around the building. I look forward to returning and sampling more of their menu in the future. Truly a great place. Read more

Restaurants in Mapleview Shopping Centre Burlington ON

Dining out to a new restaurant is always a gamble. Am I going to have a good time? Is the food any good? How does this restaurant rate? Before you base your choice on the menu plastered outside of the restaurant window or from someone you just met off the street, here are some simple tips to guide your stomach to the best restaurants.

Tips on how to find restaurants in Mapleview Shopping Centre Burlington ON

  • Restaurant reviews: Online and newspaper restaurant reviews in the food or lifestyle section are your best asset when trying to find top restaurants in your area. Most reviews rate the restaurant by atmosphere, portion size, price and service. These independent restaurant reviewers have no one to please but their finicky tastes.
  • The concierge always knows: If you are travelling in Mapleview Shopping Centre Burlington ON, your hotel’s concierge or hotel staff will be able to find restaurants that suit your taste buds and budget. Are you looking for something ethnic, local or for a fine dining experience? The concierge will be able to lead you in the right direction and even place a reservation for you or place a takeout order if dealing with delivery restaurants.
  • Call ahead: If you have specific dietary needs, food allergies or need to host a large party, call the restaurant of your choice ahead of time and be specific. You don’t want to ruin your evening dining out because the restaurant didn’t have a highchair for little Tommy.
  • Ask the neighbourhood: Most local food and wine vendors deal directly with the restaurants in your neighbourhood. Ask them about the restaurants they deal with and the kinds of meals they serve.
  • Sense of adventure: Your nose is your best tool when out to find
restaurants in your neighbourhood. If you smell something delicious coming from a restaurant, follow your nose and discover a new place to add to your list – make your own review and keep a list for future reference.
