About Multiple Sclerosis and the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada
Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world. This often-disabling chronic disease targets the central nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. MS is one of the most common neurologi- cal diseases among young adults in Canada. It usually occurs in people between the ages of 20 and 49, who will experience unpredictable effects throughout their lives. The MS Society offers programs and services to people with MS and their families, as well as stand up for their rights. It also funds research aimed at improving the quality of life of people living with MS, or even curing this disease. For more information, visit mssociety.ca.more...See more text
