Food is typical. Atmosphere is AMAZING. Beer is filthy cheap. Shooters are filthy cheap on Thursdays. Staff are friendly, except for the manager, who, despite the fact I'd gotten in many other times (before and after) with only 1 ID, told me that we needed 2 IDs to enter. I only had my Ontario driver's license. He wanted my health card. I told him my health card has no photo or birth date, and he steadfastly refused to believe me (it's true - Ontario is currently phasing out my old-style card and implementing new ones). I think he was discriminating against big girls. He glared at me when he saw me inside the next night.
What can I say? Food is pretty average for pub food, service is terrible, but the atmosphere is perfect for a night of drinking. Peel Pub is a STAPLE of any night downtown Montreal.

Peel Pub is the kind of place to kick back and have a few drinks with friends. The alcohol is reasonably priced and they also offer daily food specials for the hungry. The best night to go the Peel Pub is definitely Thursdays, as they offer shooters for only $0.99. Grab your friends and head over to watch a Habs game.
