“I have a lot of students that come here because they want to get in touch with their sexy side,” says Jennifer “Jem” Nicoll, owner of the Montreal dance school and entertainment agency DG Entertainment. Enter the doors of her studio and find yourself transported into a Moulin Rouge atmosphere where you can learn to spin and flip on a pole like an exotic dancer or unleash the burlesque performer in you.
While you will get fit in the process — holding yourself up on a pole requires some serious strength and strutting your stuff burns more calories than you think — what separates DG Entertainment from other schools that offer pole fitness classes is the fact that the main focus is always the sexiness factor rather than just the workout. Jem doesn’t shy away from referring to the classes as pole dancing rather than pole fitness. Besides burlesque and pole dance, the studio also offers belly dance classes.
During a class, whether you are playing with a feather boa, running your hands on your body suggestively or throwing in a hair-flip or two, a sexy attitude is encouraged. Feeling shy? “I feel that at first women are a bit intimidated to take a class but once they are here they love it”, says Jem, who keeps the groups small to cultivate a cozy and non-threatening setting. Women (and rarely, a man or two) of all ages, backgrounds and body shapes quickly feel comfortable enough together to forget about their inhibitions.

It was my birthday and I wanted to try something different to celebrate. We went for belly-dance classes. It was fun and a new experience. I really liked the teacher.
I took belly dance classes for a long time with the owner, and it was a really great experience. She helped me gain so much confidence both on and off stage, and gave great feedback and advice. She was always really positive and encouraging, and knows how to bring people out of their shell.
The worst experience ever and a total waste of money. In the end we received unprofessional pictures that were edited so badly, limbs were missing. The studio was filthy. The food offered was disgusting and Th e champagne that was offered in the package was replaced with a 8$ bottle of skinny girl cocktail. Don't go here.

We have been in business for over 10 years with over 6,000 parties and girls nite with everyone enjoying themselves. For 35$ per person, you had alcohol drink, food,( hummus and vegetables) video montage of photos and All the high quality pics.(over 200 pics) I suggest that you post the end result, video montage of the final product that we produced of your event so people can judge themselves.
I really wish that I had known this place earlier and had started to dance right here long ago! The teacher, Jem, is very professional, experienced, patient and kind. The class is always full of fun and the location is convenient. I do enjoy this studio very much and would recommend it to my friends!
