It was a nice evening out with the girls. The staff was friendly and the food was good,
We've gone 2 X - second time because the 1st time was AMAZING..so we brought friends. 2nd time - was 'aight'..good - but not as impressive. We had the tasting menu both times - so maybe our perception was tainted a bit - but our guests were also a bit 'mmm - yah it was really good'. I would recommend it definately! Our first time - it was insane how great it was. I actually was annoying and obtuse enough to ask to meet the chef ( I know - annoying!) - but I had to tell him how insanely good my menu was. Go - enjoy it - make a reservation though - it's like a romantic cave..you will love it.
Went for winterlicious dinner last night. It is a ritzy restaurant below ground level on Wellington. The atmosphere and vibe was amazing. The restaurant is very spacious with a mixture of standard table & chairs and sofa seating. The brick walls along with the candles lighting, young professional crowd and interior decor gives it a great vibe. We had a table for 8 right next to the kitchen and it was a unique experience. The food was great although I have had better for winterlicious. The passionfruit tiramisu was the highlight for me. Quite outstanding. Overall food was great. They have an amazing wine list and service was fabulous. However it is a little pricy and hence, thank god for winterlicious.
This is one of those pretentious Toronto restaurants with a lovely atmosphere that makes its owners think can justify exorbitant prices for really small portions. The food is delicious, but portions are small although they are piled and stacked ever so nicely, and they use the a la carte vegetable trick where you have to pay more to get a properly satisfying meal. The cheapest bottle of wine on the menu is $45. A group of us each ended up paying $60 to $75 per person, which was way too much for the amount of food. Candelight and atmosphere is lovely and service is good, and the teensy bits of food are delicious. I'll be back at Trevor's after I win the lottery. - Mary Ann
Great space. Don't be fooled by the basement restaurant. This is some of the best food in Toronto, by far. A very unpretentious atmosphere, friendly staff and a phenomenal wine list. Try the tasting menu if available. I would eat here every day.

This unpretentious fine-dining spot on Wellington Street East is just a quick walk from the busy office buildings in the downtown core. Snag a seat in the lounge between 4 and 7 p.m. and you’ll pay less than $5 for 1 oz. mixed drinks or pints of Amsterdam Big Wheel. On Thursdays, the specials are even more enticing, with drinks priced at just $3 during the after-work period. And if you’re feeling like you’ve had a few too many, pair those happy hour libations with an order of half-priced macaroni and asiago cheese.

Trevor, the owner and master chef, had just one mandate when he opened and that was to deliver mind-blowingly good food to anyone who comes into the restaurant. You can opt for one of his famous Chicago-style deep dish pies which are 2.5-pound behemoths, or go sophisticated with a sushi pizza which consists of ahi tuna tartare on a crispy rice cake.
