I've been eating from South Sea for almost 23 years. I go there at least once or twice a week for lunch because the food is always fresh, not greasy, and delicious with outstanding service (Elaine the waitress is simply a piece of eyecandy with a cute bubbly sense of humour). Very huge portions and their lunch specials are great bargains. I can spend about $6 to $7 and be completely full. Nice newly renovated washrooms. The restaurant is extremely busy during lunch hours but I usually get food on my table in about 5 minutes. I've tried other restaurants for lunch over the years and hands down I put South Sea as number #1.

This place is consistently excellent. One of the most established restaurants that has been doing business under the same management for over 25 years, and it just gets better! 5 star service with a smile. My water was always filled and the presentation of the dishes was done beautiful porcelain square plates with great garnishings. The best thing of all was the price! Bring a group of people, order from the entree menu and share the dishes. Avg price per person is less than $10.00 with tax and tip. Keep it up, South Sea!
I come to South Sea and order take-out every second Saturday and I can also agree that the young boy is talented. It's usually busy with only a few tables free when I go there, but he can handle the dining room all by himself. I usually watch while I'm waiting for my order and he can take care of dine in customers, take pick-up orders, serve drinks, clean tables, and answer phone calls all in parallel. I have to admit that he walks very VERY fast, but he always has that charm and truly cares about making the customers his number one priority.
If you go there, make sure you check out how fast he can use a calculator. It's beyond amazing! I also recommend the combo 5 chicken delight. You get 3 different types of chicken plus fried rice.
