Glow hair and Nails is what the gift card says!!
So I buy approx $600 to $700 dollars a year on gift cards to this place which is our local business for my wife to go and have herself all done up. She had the last giftcard with her and stopped in to grab some product and use the last of what was on the Giftcard that I had purchased from Glow hair and nails and when she put it down to pay for the product the staff informed her it was not valid any longer as they had switched managment and the cards bought previously were not part of the deal they made with the previous owner?? What!? So would if the case was it had $200 dollars on it I would have been the one out of pocket yet the business name is the same and the gift card has the business name on it so as a consumer how is this my problem? Thank god the card had been used and there was only about $25 or $30 on it so my wife told them they obviously needed it more than she does and left the store. We live in the area and are very involved with the school and community centre and I'm sure that our friends in the community will have some thoughts on this business decision on Glows part. I will never step foot in there and buy gift cards and my wife will never return and so the business they lose for $25 or $30?? And Christmas right around the corner! I run a business and know this is such a seriously bad policy to put the onus on your customers especially a neighbourhood based business. Great you have new managment but then have a new name so there is no affiliation! Good luck to them but we will not help them with our word of mouth.
