It’s hard to feel truly clean after a bath or shower if your bathroom has mould growing on the walls, ceilings or grout. Here are a few tips to keep your bathroom mould free.
Mould likes to grow in damp and poorly ventilated bathrooms. Mould (a.k.a. mildew) is a kind of fungi that spreads via spores. Once it finds a damp, warm spot it likes to grow and build little colonies. Ew!
If the mould is growing on the walls or ceiling, it’s usually pretty easy to clean off.
After the walls and ceiling are clear of mould, you may want to repaint.
If the mould is growing in the silicone grout between your shower and tub, no amount of cleaning will bring that dark stain back to white. Once the seal begins to get mouldy, it goes all the way through and needs to be replaced.
