When the weather gets cool, there's nothing cooler than snowboarders. But where do they store their wicked rides? Snowboard racks!
When the weather gets cool, there's nothing cooler than snowboarders. But how do these paragons of awesome store and transport their wicked rides? Well, future surfers of the great white yonder, here's the skinny: snowboard racks.
When you're not busy getting rad, you put your snowboard on a rack. You might need a roof rack on top of your sweet wheels to take you to the mountain. You might need a wall rack to prominently display your hot decks at your pad so all our friends know how extreme you really are. Or you might need a rack stand to put outside in the yard or in front of your business, so you and other people who are in "the know" can casually lean snowboards on it while maxing and relaxing.
You need a rack on your car. It gives you a place to put your board outside the car for transport so you have the room inside you need for your whole posse. Roof racks are a killer place to start. Lots of cars are manufactured with installed factory roof racks to make mounting a snowboard rack easy. Is your car's roof bare? Have no fear. You can get a base rack systems to start the job, then attach a snowboard rack to it. The killer thing about roof racks is that they can be customized in terms of size and style.
Don't want a roof rack? Don't have a cow. You can use a hitch mounted rack on the back of your car that doubles as a cycle rack in the summer. Double awesome. You can get up to four snowboards onto a hitch mounted rack, so when the crew's all there, everyone's deck is accounted for.
Gun owners have gun racks above the fireplace for their firearms. The shredder's weapon of choice is of course their snowboard. Get those bad boys up on the wall for all the gawkers to drool at. Board racks are usually made of wood or steel, but can also have rubber on the prongs to keep the boards in place and protect the edges. You can even get a raw log style rack with horizontal slots cut into. It's like you just threw those decks in there like ninja stars.
Indoors or outdoors, you can also get standalone vertical stands. They're perfect for the garage or basement, or out in the yard or in front of ski resort businesses. They also come in wood and steel, with vertical styles for more temporary storage, or horizontal prongs for longer term storage or retail display.
