Met my friends for a lovely supper visit. Pleasantly welcomed upon arrival, Jason was our server and did a great job. Very clever and attentive, knowledgeable and just fun. My mother, grandmother and I had gone out back in October for my birthday. Two words. So good! I would recommend this place to anyone craving a great, authentic Japanese meal. The service was quick, the waitress was friendly, and I cannot enthuse enough about how good their food (especially miso soup) is. For me, miso soup was a little bowl of pitiful flavor to tide you over while your sushi was on it's way and I'm not a soup lover anyways; however, this soup has set a high standard for soups everywhere! Vivaldi's offer great lunch time specials and evening specials during weekdays. I really love their homemade pureed soups. There is a good wine list, and they do the thing with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and hot bread. The menu is varied, and the food is fresh and always tasty. Their staff is always pleasant. In my opinion, Vivaldi's could get a perfect rating from me is they: a) made certain the soup always came out hot, b) anticipate that folks go there for lunch and have to be served and out in an hour, and c) tidy up and make the necessary repairs to the washroom. We quite often frequent wing night, which we have learned you make reservations ahead or expect to wait as it is very busy. Last week I witnessed lady who felt she wasn't being seated in a timely fashion become verbally aggressive.
