I went in on my lunch break to grab something quick to eat. I never expected such a variety of items on their menu! They have wraps on whole wheat, massive sandwiches on ciabatta buns which are under 10$ with a side! Never have I found such a nice place with great service. I had my wrap (seriously vegetarian) within 15 minutes. Was served nice and warm! Great choices for healthy lunches which are filling, and also treats for those who have a sweet tooth! Definitely recommend their cupcakes to anybody who loves sweets. Best shop in Peterborough! Read more

After reading the reviews online about this restaurant I was apprehensive about going to a staff Xmas get-together involving 16 people. I don't know what other reviewers are talking about. The servers had excellent manners and the food was good (for the price) and was served in a timely manner. I didn't hear any complaints from anyone at our table. We were lucky to have a restaurant accomodate such a large group. The owner made a point of acknowledging the person who had made our reservation. Nice people, good food. I would go back. Read more

This is my second visit to Splice's new S Burger addition. I first heard of it when I saw a Wagjag. Although I was hesitant at first, I figured that every joint is at least worth a try. I was expecting rather mediocre food given that the venue's primary face is a nightclub. I think this is the same reason why they are not getting the number of patrons they deserve. The food was surprisingly good. Excellent burger & fries served with a pleasantly garlicy aioli, and the organic wings with housemade sauces were quite good as well. The service is hit or miss depending on who you get (the dark haired girl was very attentive and accommodating). If you haven't tried out Splice since the addition of S Burger, I would highly recommend it. Quality ingredients & good service. Just don't order the coffee... Read more

BUT they no longer have a lunch menu- which means having lunch here is now much more expensive than it used to be (ie. the stew used to be $11 for lunch, now its $18 off the generic menu). because of this- I likely will only come here for dinner now as Peterborough has lots of other reasonably priced lunch options. My friend and I just had an amazing meal at Dolce Vita. The focaccia was fantastic as was the salad, main course and dessert (Tiramisu & lemon curd). The cappuccino was huge and delicious. The server was great...answered any questions and if he didn't know, he asked the chef. The prices were what you would expect from a high end restaurant so didn't feel they were out of line. Dropped in for lunch this week and was very pleasantly surprised to find this calibre of Japanese food in Peterborough. Excellent food. Very authentic. So much so it helps to be familiar with Japanese food before ordering (staff speak very little English). Fixed price for as much as you want on the menu. However a note on menu says you will be charged for what you don't eat. I thought that was an inspired way to prevent the waste usually associated with all you can eat restaurants. A little pricy but you certainly get your money's worth. Looking forward to a return visit for dinner. Read more
