Pierre André Jacob has the kind of experience many florists would envy. “I started working forFleuriste Maisonneuvewhen I was only 12 years old; this was 1967 and I had simply come to drop off an envelope. The owner asked me if I was interested in running a few errands for her at lunchtime and after school, and I said yes. I was making $3 a week back then, plus 25 cents a run. That’s how I got started,” recalls the now-owner ofFleuriste Maisonneuve.
“I learned the trade throughout the years, and I’ve loved it since the very beginning. In 1985, I decided to acquire the business from the previous-owner. I figured I had nothing to lose since I knew the company inside-out," says Pierre André. " There were doubters, but nowadays, getting up to go to work is like going on a daily vacation. I go meet people, serve them, always giving it my all, and it makes me happy!”
Fleuriste Maisonneuvehas grown to a network of 10 locations – in Longueuil, Brossard, Repentigny, Laval, Montreal West, Pointe-aux-Trembles, Montreal-Nord, Beloeil, Lasalle, as well as its original Ontario Street location, in the heart of Montreal.
