a chinatown staple!

I've been going to pho hung for 10 years and they never fail me once. the broth is second to none. less than $6 per person after tax for lunch is a great deal to me. The owner also roams the restaurant chatting up customers. great deep fried spring rolls too!

Well...when I was small, I went to Pho Hung every Friday and the food was really great. When I started growing older, it was starting to change and when they renovated last year I'm guessing...and they got new menus, it was pretty good. I go there now a days because the food and drinks taste great.

I love pho and love to try it from different restaurants. I tried pho in Pho Hung(Bloor) before because it's very close at work, I was so disappointed. Small portion and expensive... I told my co-worker and he suggested that Spadina one is much better. So here I am. I went this restaurant and ordered pho. However, nothing was better than Bloor one and I HAD LONG HAIR IN MY PHO! So Disgusting. I sipped it little before I found that hair. -.,- Never go back!

This bustling, family-run restaurant is small, intimate and well-decorated with large old-world paintings. Located in Chinatown, they’re known for a broad selection of traditional and authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Owner Nguyễn Đắc Thòi and his family emigrated from Vietnam in 1980, and opened their first Vietnamese restaurant in 1985. Today the family manages three locations in Toronto and Mississauga. Their vegetarian pho comes in small and large servings ($6.50 to $8). Pho Hung’s special vegetarian menu offers other choices as well.

Taste of Saigon: Vietnamese and pho restaurants in Toronto

Taste of Saigon: Vietnamese and pho restaurants in Toronto

Right in the heart of Chinatown, this restaurant looks a little shabby on the outside, but don't judge it by that. The interior is always full of diners, so you may need to wait for a table, but this is an indication of just how good the food is. The pho is your best bet here, though all the dishes shine.
