The Ukrainian National Federation was founded in Edmonton, Albert,a on Sunday, July 17, 1932, by members of the Ukrainian Nationalist movement of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN-A. Melnik), who's influences and vision remain a vital part of the organization to this day. In the first four years, 50 Branches were established across Canada. The UNF was incorporated by an Act of Parliament on June 1, 1950.
