Birds of a feather may flock together, but do you know which birds are which? Just wing it at Inglewood Bird Sanctuary’s Learn to Birdwatch course. The one-day course for beginner birders will touch on equipment as well as where to find the birds and how to identify them. The course features classroom and field time, so dress for the weather. Participants must be age 12 or older. The course is offered on Saturday, March 19, 9 am to 12 pm and Sunday, April 17, 9 am to 12 pm. The fee is $26.25 plus GST.
This is a great place to get some nature time within the city. Birdwatchers, outdoor enthusiasts and photographers enjoy it for its plants and many animals. Seasonal visitors include chickadees, geese and bald eagles.
